Epidemic spreading in temporal networks

What are the key variables governing the evolution of disease processes? How do temporal patterns influence the diffusion of disease processes?

Detecting strong ties in temporal networked systems

Strong ties in a systems represent the set of relevant interactions, such as friendship ties or strong collaborators. Is the detection of strong ties influenced by individual temporal patters? Do they depend on the size of the network considered?

Teaching Network Science and Epidemiology
to the general population

Studying the diffusion of disease processes on a network is a relatively new approach. Is the general population aware of it? Can we use networks to teach to the general public the best practice to prevent disease (flu) spreading?
To answers to some of these questions, we developed StopTheSpread and currently pursuing a field study
